Even my car had its own private 'suite' at the Monkbar this time!
This year there was ample time to walk the Walls!
Here even the ducks are well-behaved, and use the crossings!
The city's imposing castle - I must take a closer look next time!
For an 'old' city, it's certainly got some modern transport!
You can't seem to get away from them!
The Minster looks splendid, especially when the sun's shining!
Our 'Roman' guide who took us on a brief tour! It was his first time, and whilst he wasn't a real 'scholar', he was still entertaining - and looked the part!
Harrogate's also got its fair share of interesting buildings
The Majestic, where some famous people have stayed - Elgar, Errol Flynn and G B Shaw amongst others!
There's also quite a bit to see here
Betty's Tea Rooms (or Thé Café), like the one in York - a bit pricey, though, for a cuppa, I'd say!
Thronged with shoppers just after Christmas, looking for bargains in the sales!
The little 'Road-Train', which takes you to York's National Rail Museum
There's just so much to see - and admission is free! I wonder for how long, though!
There's everything here, including the Japanese 'Bullet' Train
Something for model railway fans, too
Modern locomotives...
Some fascinating views you wouldn't normally want to see!
A viewing gallery to see the everyday comings-and-goings at York mainline station
And, to finish, one of the things that started it all off!
Everything looks like an old-fashioned Christmas card
All the traditional fun and rides!
But the Minster still deserves the last word - and I'm not at all that religious!
